For the past several months, Tony’s Kansas City has been bashing the composite sketch of the Waldo rapist as being terrible and not looking like anyone.
Then an arrest came this week, and the suspect does indeed look a lot like the composite sketch.  The lips on the sketch are a too thick and the sketch was deliberately drawn without age-defining features since the ages guessed by the victims varied so widely, but to me it looks very close.
TKC continues to deny that the sketch looks anything like the suspect, but …

Speed up and drive as fast as you can to the far end of the street, despite the fact that no one entering traffic or stepping off a sidewalk will be looking in your direction?
Honk at all the incoming traffic for going the “wrong” way?
Get off this street as soon as possible by turning the wrong way on the first available one-way cross street?

Seriously, this is getting ridiculous. After this and this and this it’s clear they haven’t a clue about showing proper respect for the Flag.
And now they’re at it again. Pearl Harbor Day was a week ago. And when December 8 arrived, everyone else paid attention and raised their flags back to full glory. But not the Jackson County Courthouse. They simply forgot all about it and are reliving Pearl Harbor day after day after day.

From a KCMO press release issued yesterday:
“The City of Kansas City, Mo., Public Works Department is alerting motorists that many streets in the Downtown and Crossroads areas will be temporarily closed at various times from Nov. 19 through Nov. 22. These closures are being made to accommodate the National Catholic Youth Conference.”
Why are these closures and parking restrictions taking place?   So that the 300 school buses that will be used to shuttle attendees between their hotels and the conference will have a place to idle.

When Pizza Bar — the replacement for the failed Vinino in the Power & Light District — was preparing to open, the PR buzz spoke of skilled pizza chefs, top quality ingredients, and true New York Style pizza.
Well, I suppose they probably do sell frozen pizza in New York.    Pizza Bar’s pizza tasted nothing like anything I’ve had in NY, but plenty like what I’ve had from a freezer box or a run-of-the-mill grocery store deli.

The other day I watched an old episode of “Criminal Minds” in which the team flew to Kansas City to investigate a serial killer.  As in Kansas City, KS… which was portrayed as the main city, “across the river” from the Missouri side.
These two fallacies irritated me at the time. Then, today, I was looking to to see what exactly Star Wars In Concert is all about, and under Tour Dates I saw the following:
