For the past several months, Tony’s Kansas City has been bashing the composite sketch of the Waldo rapist as being terrible and not looking like anyone.

Then an arrest came this week, and the suspect does indeed look a lot like the composite sketch.  The lips on the sketch are a too thick and the sketch was deliberately drawn without age-defining features since the ages guessed by the victims varied so widely, but to me it looks very close.

TKC continues to deny that the sketch looks anything like the suspect, but so far he has not been willing to display the two photos side by side so that his readers can judge for themselves.    So, I’ll do it for him.

To the left is the composite sketch.   To the right is the mugshot photo of suspect Bernard Jackson.   I scaled the images to be the same size and converted the mugshot to grayscale for a far comparison.

Below the two I superimposed one image onto the other.  When I did so, I was surprised when Photoshop suddenly snapped the second layer into place, locking perfectly onto the eyebrows, eyes, and tip of the nose.
