It’s been a while since I’ve been on a good barhopping trip and a year or so sincee I’ve made a weekend of it.    But it’s been 3 years since I’ve been on such a trip spanning several days.   I’ve beeen working hard, I deserve it, it’s time for a barcation!

First thing Wednesday morning I’ll be hitting the open road with my cohort, heading to Nebraska to tour the rural and not so rural bars of the state in search of cold beer and interesting people and hangouts.

While it will probably be a week or two before a I am able to get a full report online after the journey, I will be posting updates from time to time on the road whenever I have enough time to sit and do a little writing.    So you’ll be able to stop by this site and see at least a few of the bars I visit shortly after I finish my beer.

(In case you’re wondering, the photo is a Google Maps Street View of the road to one of the bars I’m visiting.  I guess washing my car today in preparation for this trip was a waste of money!)
