This morning I was in a rush to leave and I forgot to do two things:

Take out a bag of trash I’ve been meaning to take out since Sunday.
Close the dog gate.

Normally if I forget to close the gate, my dog enjoys her freedom to roam the house but doesn’t take advantage of it and is a good dog.

Not today!

Note the destroyed styrofoam container under the coffee table. It contained week-old Chinese food, a lot of it, which had then been wrapped up and was buried in the trash bag (that I then forgot to take out the last 3 days). That Chinese food is now somewhere deep inside my dog, where it is inevitably going to be converted into one of the nastiest canine butt explosions ever witnessed.

Melissa: Not panties per se, but boxer shorts of the male variety. I recently purchased some fine new undergarments, so had to relinquish an equal number of old pairs. Those in good condition I washed and gave to the homeless, but the pair in the photo was too worn out to benefit even the nakedest of vagrants.
