When the city of Independence banned smoking in its bars, many wondered "What will they ban next?"
I found the answer this weekend taped to the door of a popular Independence pub/eatery...
First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out -
because I was not a Socialist.
Then they came for the Trans Fats, and I did not speak out -
because I was not a McDonalds customer.
Then they came for the Smokers, and I did not speak out -
because I was not a Smoker.
Then they came for my balloons - and there was no one left to speak for me.

Could possibly be, because they will set off motion detectors after the place closes and alarm is set. Most city's fine a business for false alarms.
